On September 20-22, an international eTwinning Contact Seminar «History & Culture» took place in Lviv. The organizer was the PSA Ukraine team.
About 70 eTwinners participated in the event –representatives of PSA-s and NSS-s, ambassadors and teachers from Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
On the first day of the event, the participants were greeted by Sergey Teplov (PSA Ukraine) and Valentina Velichenko (PSA Ukraine), who spoke about the key ideas and development of the program in the context of modern education. After that, ambassadors Olena Lukyanets (Kiev, Ukraine) and Irina Figol (Bila Tserkva, Ukraine) conducted an ice-breaking activities and the workshops on the basic eTwinning tools, presented useful online-tools for projects on «History & Culture» and the best examples of these projects.
The second day of the seminar began with an interesting quiz from Sergey Teplov and Valentina Velichenko and the game, whose goal was acquaintance of the seminar participants and finding partners for future projects. Then participants of the seminar participated in the workshops conducted by the foreign guests. The ambassador Gabriela Podolanova (Slovakia) spoke about the of high quality project work – how to plan and organize project activities to get Quality Label. And the ambassador Peteris Ozols (Latvia) presented the topic «How to use social media in the context of studying history of countries».
Armed with useful knowledge, participants of the seminar organized into teams and planned their work in the new projects. After the productive team work, eTwinners had an opportunity to relax during a tour over Lviv old town and a gala dinner in the traditional Ukrainian style.
On the last day of the event participants registered new projects, presented them to their colleagues and said goodbye to the beautiful city and their new like-minded-friends. After three active days of the seminar, eTwinners took with them an inspiration and ambitious plans that will soon be realized in a number of high-quality eTwinning projects.
